Hi, this is a website to provide information about the great angling available on Scalby Beck. The beck is a well known beauty spot in the heart of Scarborough and a favourite venue for visiting anglers. The fishing is mainly for brown trout but heavy runs of sea trout are common, usually in the months of September and October. Our sea trout average three pounds but fish of twice this size (and bigger!) are often caught. These fish appear when the river is in spate and have been recorded as early as April. However these runs, although very welcomed occur on an irregular and very unpredictable basis. If you require a day ticket please click on the fishing info link.
