The club fishing extends from the sea at Scalby Mills to approx one mile above Scalby village (both banks). The section of water between Newby Road Bridge and Hackness Road Bridge is free fishing, this is reserved for young non members up to the age of 17 years. The fishing on the beck is for brown trout, grayling and sea trout, chub, eel and gudgeon with other minor fish species present. Please note though that we do not issue day tickets for coarse fishing and do not allow any other method of fishing, other than fly fishing, on a day ticket.

The fishing seasons are as follows:

Brown trout 25 th March to 30 th September

Sea trout 6 th April to 30 th October

Coarse fish 16 th June to 13 th March
